11 30 2010 10 31 26 AM 92726241 300x190 New Ram Laramie adds Longhorn Texas FlavorThis years Texas State Fair not only opened with a bang, it opened with a rumble, the rumble of new 2011 trucks that is. Almost all of the trucks at this years fair not only consisted of upgrades, but upgraded variations.

The Dodge Ram for example, is now available in what Dodge calls their “B class line”, said CEO Fred Diaz. The model profiled in the B class is called the Outdoorsman. With upgraded suspension and a dual Ram box in the truck bed for additional storage, “This truck was designed with all outdoor enthusiasts in mind.” With its 32 gallon fuel tank, the Outdoorsman is ready for any activity, both on road and off.

Dodge’s newest top-of-the-line Ram model is the Laramie Longhorn. With its laser stitched leather interior to it’s bold and aerodynamic tailgate and hood, “This is the most luxurious Ram truck we have ever made,” Laramie designer Ryan Nagode said. The Laramie Longhorn is available in a dually 1500,2500 and 3500 crew or mega cab. “We are estimating that the Laramie Longhorn will account for 25% of our sales for 2011,” Nagode added.

The design of this stellar vehicle is not only its options and design, it is the attention to every detail that is both inside and outside this magnificent ride. For example, on the back of each front seat are built in tooled leather “saddle bags” great for holding just about anything a back seat rider might want to store. However, the detail is in the silver closure of the bags buckle which is used to close the storage/saddle bag.

With its burled walnut interior and polished pewter and chrome vents, this titan of a Ram is even bigger, bolder and stronger than any other truck model on the road today. The Laramie Longhorn also makes a statement, one that exudes importance as if to ‘pass all others claiming ownership of the road.’
